SEO Conferences 2027: Every Event Worth Knowing, Around the World

There are roughly 100 SEO conferences and search-track marketing events worldwide, and as of September 2026, 39 of the 2027 editions already have confirmed dates. The biggest confirmed so far are BrightonSEO (UK in April and October, San Diego in September), OMR Festival in Hamburg (May 3 to 5), SMX Munich (April 6 to 7), and Web Summit Qatar (Jan 31 to Feb 3). Everything else is a recurring annual whose 2027 edition is expected but not yet dated. Below you will find a full directory table, then a region-by-region guide with the price, attendance, and speaker count for every event.
How many SEO conferences are there in 2027, and where?
Around 100, spread very unevenly across the map. Europe is the dense heart of the SEO conference world, with more dedicated SEO events than the rest of the planet combined. Asia-Pacific is the fastest-growing region, India and Southeast Asia in particular. North America has fewer events but several of the most influential. The Middle East (Dubai-led), Latin America (Brazil-led), and Africa (South Africa and Nigeria) each have a small but real circuit.

A pattern worth noticing: the dedicated, SEO-first conferences are mostly small to mid-sized (200 to 1,000 attendees). The giant events with tens of thousands of people are broad digital-marketing or e-commerce festivals that happen to run an SEO track. Both are useful, for different reasons.
Which SEO conferences have confirmed 2027 dates?
These are the ones you can actually put in a calendar today. A selection of the 39 confirmed editions, by region:
- Europe: Friends of Search Amsterdam (Mar 11), WTSFest London (Mar 19), SMX Munich (Apr 6 to 7), Marketing Festival Brno (Apr 20 to 21), OMR Hamburg (May 3 to 5), CAMPIXX Berlin (Jun 3 to 4), SMX Paris (Jun 8 to 9), plus BrightonSEO's two UK editions in April and October.
- North America: SMX Advanced San Diego (Mar 17 to 19), DigiMarCon Canada Toronto (Apr 29 to 30), BrightonSEO San Diego (Sep 9 to 10).
- Asia-Pacific: FOUND Tokyo (Feb 18 to 19), Search Marketing Summit Sydney (Feb 23 to 25), Beyond Search Summit Gurugram (Feb 26 to 27), Sydney SEO Conference (Mar 12), Ahrefs Evolve Singapore (Apr 14 to 15), DigiMarCon India New Delhi (Aug 26 to 27).
- Middle East: Web Summit Qatar Doha (Jan 31 to Feb 3), SEO On Stage Dubai (Mar 23 to 25), DigiMarCon Middle East Dubai (Sep 21 to 22).
- Latin America and Africa: Web Summit Rio (Jun 14 to 17), Hotmart FIRE Belo Horizonte (Aug 26 to 28), DigiMarCon South Africa Johannesburg (Sep 27 to 28).
The rest of the field, more than 50 events, are recurring annuals that reliably return each year but have not published their 2027 dates yet. The table and guide below mark each one as confirmed or expected so you know which is which.
What are the biggest SEO conferences in the world?
By raw attendance, the biggest search-adjacent events are not SEO conferences at all. They are broad marketing and e-commerce festivals with an SEO track:

If you want a genuinely SEO-first room, the largest is BrightonSEO (4,500+ in the UK), followed by a tier of 500 to 1,000-person dedicated events like Chiang Mai SEO, Ahrefs Evolve, SEO Week, and SearchDay. Bigger is not better here: a 300-person single-track SEO conference often delivers more useful conversations than a 20,000-person festival where SEO is one stage of forty.
Every SEO conference worth knowing in 2027, region by region
The table above lists all 101 events at a glance. Below is the written guide to the ones worth planning around - every dedicated SEO and search conference, plus the biggest marketing festivals with a real search track - grouped by region, with what each is about and who it is for. If you only want a shortlist: BrightonSEO is the broadest and largest, SEO Week and Tech SEO Connect lead on AI-search and technical SEO in the US, SMX Munich and Friends of Search are Europe's establishment search events, and the GEO Conference and SEO & GEO Summit are built entirely around AI search and generative engine optimization.

Europe
1.
BrightonSEO (UK)
The biggest search conference in the world, and the default entry point for most SEOs. Founded by Kelvin Newman, it started in February 2010 as an informal meetup of around 30 people in a room above a Brighton pub, and has grown into a biannual fixture with a community of 20,000+ search professionals.
It now runs twice a year in Brighton, UK, with two 2027 editions, one in April and one in October, drawing 4,500+ attendees and 190+ speakers (2026 figures). The format is multi-track and in-person, mixing actionable talks with hands-on training and year-round networking, and the brand ethos is deliberately practical - no fluff, no theory for theory's sake.
The crowd is a broad mix of in-house, agency, and media practitioners at every career stage rather than a founder or exec audience, and coverage spans the full search stack: technical SEO, content, digital PR, analytics, and increasingly AI search. Tickets ran £430–£580 +VAT in 2026. Note that the exact April 2027 dates are only confirmed via a secondary source.
2.
OMR Festival
A massive broad marketing festival, not SEO-specific, but a major fixture on the European calendar. Founded in 2011 as Online Marketing Rockstars by Philipp Westermeyer and partners, OMR grew out of a marketing blog and a first seminar for roughly 150 to 200 people, and now fills the Hamburg Messe exhibition halls each year.
It moved to its May slot in 2019 and expands to three days for 2027, held May 3–5, 2027 in Hamburg, having drawn 70,000+ attendees and 800+ speakers in 2025. It runs as two parallel events, a large expo plus a conference program, with masterclasses, multiple stages, and a festival atmosphere that has earned it the Germany's-answer-to-SXSW tag.
The audience skews senior and broad - CEOs, decision-makers, founders, and investors across the digital economy - and past stages have hosted names like Yuval Noah Harari, Scott Galloway, and Gary Vaynerchuk alongside musicians and entertainers. SEO is one thread among many rather than the focus. Pricing runs from a €499 super-early rate toward ~€700. Included here for scale rather than search depth.
3.
SMX Munich
A long-standing, paid German search conference with a technical bent. Produced by Rising Media out of the Search Engine Land family, SMX Munich has run at the ICM International Congress Center since around 2009 and covers SEO and paid search for practitioners who want depth over breadth. It is held April 6–7, 2027 in Munich, with historical attendance around 1,500 and speaker counts not published.
The format is in-person and multi-track with a dedicated workshop day, and it has signature social events including a recurring Pub Quiz and an After Dark party, with keynotes and quiz run in English.
The audience is a mid-to-senior mix of in-house marketers and agency staff, and Rand Fishkin is a recurring keynote figure. Its core pitch is neutrality - vendor-agnostic and editorially curated rather than run by a tool vendor or agency. Full 2027 pricing is already live at €1,099–€2,699 +VAT, placing it at the premium end. Confirmed for 2027.
4.
Friends of Search
A focused one-day SEO and SEA conference in the Netherlands. Scheduled for March 11, 2027 in Amsterdam at De Kromhouthal, this is roughly its 14th edition and pulls around 600 attendees (2026), with speaker counts not published.
It is the Benelux's flagship SEO and SEA event, run by the Dutch industry associations DDMA and VIA rather than a commercial publisher, and it splits attention evenly between organic and paid search.
The crowd is a regional Benelux core of consultants, marketers, and in-house teams, with an international expert speaker layer on top. Signature touches include a Drinks & Bites social and a Friends of Search Awards competition with a speaker Hall of Fame. 2026 tickets ran €455–€570. Confirmed for 2027.
5.
WTSFest (Women in Tech SEO)
A community-driven, technically serious SEO conference founded to raise women's voices in search. WTSFest grew out of the Women in Tech SEO community that Areej AbuAli started from a tweet in 2019, holding its first in-person event that June, and it now runs full-day conferences in several cities including London, Philadelphia, Portland, Berlin, and Melbourne.
Its London flagship lands March 19, 2027 with a four-track format; attendee and speaker counts are not published. The program is built around four recurring themes - Analyse, Advance, Innovate, Empower - with catering, networking breaks, and an after-party.
Attendance is reserved for women and people of marginalised genders, though sponsors and session recordings are open to all, and the organisation is a certified B Corp that pays speaker fees and travel. Pricing steps from £299 to £399. It leans practical and technical, and is open in spirit to the whole community. Confirmed for 2027.
6.
SMX Paris
The French edition of the SMX search series, now moved to summer. The French edition of the SMX search series, its 15th edition runs June 8–9, 2027 in Paris, shifted from its former March slot to June. It is held at the Espace Saint Martin and governed by a steering committee of established French search professionals, keeping it independent and vendor-agnostic rather than tied to a tool or agency.
The format is two days across parallel SEO and SEA tracks with workshops and a tactic-focused, question-heavy approach for a mainly French-speaking audience of agency and in-house practitioners.
Content spans beginner to expert but leans toward concrete, implementable tactics. Tickets are €590 including VAT; attendee and speaker figures are not published. Confirmed for 2027.
7.
CAMPIXX (SEO Campixx)
A long-running, community-flavoured German SEO event now opening up with an English-language track. Held June 3–4, 2027 in Berlin, CAMPIXX has run since 2009 and grew out of the barcamp tradition, started by Marco Janck as the informal class reunion of German SEOs.
After many years at the Hotel am Müggelsee it moved to a Van der Valk hotel outside Berlin in 2022 and broadened from pure SEO into a wider content-and-marketing festival. It drew 600+ attendees in 2026 across 60+ sessions, running a heavily multi-track, first-come-first-served program with an extensive evening social calendar - quiz shows, karaoke, and more running late into the night.
The crowd is a predominantly German-speaking mix of freelancers, agency staff, in-house experts, and founders, and a newer English-language International Track is widening its reach beyond that core. Super-early pricing was €699 +VAT. Confirmed for 2027.
8.
Tech SEO Summit
A young, deliberately small technical-SEO event. Taking place April 22, 2027 in Hamburg, it is organised by the crawling-tool company Audisto and has run since 2024 as a deliberately small, advanced-only event.
It keeps numbers limited with a tight six-talk program of roughly 45-minute deep sessions, and the organisers openly warn that attendees should already have strong technical-SEO knowledge or risk finding the talks hard to follow. Past editions have paired the conference day with a networking dinner, including one aboard a restored sailing ship in Hamburg harbour.
Pricing is €949 including dinner, and attendance is limited (not published). Best for practitioners who want a focused technical day rather than a sprawling agenda. Confirmed for 2027.
9.
Baltic SEO Summit
The Baltic region's dedicated SEO gathering, moving to Kaunas. Officially the Baltic-Nordic SEO Summit, it is run by Rocket Science Baltics and grew out of earlier SEOCON events in Kaunas before launching under its current name in 2025.
It ran in Vilnius in 2026 and returns to Kaunas, Lithuania for 2027, drawing 400+ attendees in 2026 and listing 38+ speakers for 2027. It aims at people scaling agencies, building brands, or running enterprise and affiliate campaigns, pulling an international Baltic-plus-Nordic crowd.
The format is single-stage for talks but wraps in workshops, mastermind sessions, and heavy social and wellness programming - Old Town tours, yoga, basketball - built around hallway conversations. Early-bird tickets are €299. One caveat: two sources give conflicting 2027 dates, landing somewhere in March or April. Confirmed for 2027.
10.Search Evolution Summit
Romania's home-grown SEO conference, still early in its life. The 2025 edition was Romania's first dedicated SEO conference, and 2027 will be its third, expected in September in Cluj-Napoca (date to be announced). Run by the agency Mixtazure, it drew 200+ attendees in 2025 with 10+ speakers.
The format is bilingual and multi-day: a VIP dinner and wine tasting, a main day of English-language talks with an international lineup, and a second day of advanced workshops plus Romanian-language local panels and a networking afterparty.
It aims to build a domestic Romanian SEO community while drawing international speakers, with interactive roast-your-website sessions adding a hands-on feel. 2026 pricing ranged €35–€300, keeping it accessible. Confirmed for 2027, though details are still firming up.
11.
SEO-Day

Past speakers have included Ted Kubaitis, Steve Wiideman, Navneet Kaushal and Himani Kankaria, spanning technical SEO, content, link building and AI-driven SEO. 2026 pricing was $230–$485. Expected for 2027.
52.
ad:tech Tokyo
The largest digital marketing event in the region, broad rather than SEO-specific. Expected around October 2027 (date estimated) in Tokyo, this 17th-annual event has run in Japan since 2009 and is organised by Comexposium, positioning itself as one of Asia's largest marketing gatherings. It drew 16,200 attendees and 220+ speakers in 2025, though that headcount includes on-demand and archive viewers, not just people in the room.
The format is a large-scale hybrid of keynotes, multiple session tracks, workshops and a full exhibition hall, aimed at brands, agencies, media and ad-tech and mar-tech vendors.
SEO is only one thread in a very broad advertising and marketing agenda, with recent programming centered on turning AI and data into measurable business outcomes. Pricing is not published. Included here for its regional scale rather than any SEO depth.
53.
Search SEOul
South Korea's dedicated SEO conference. Expected in 2027 (date estimated) in Seoul, Search SEOul launched in 2025 as Korea's first conference dedicated purely to SEO, drawing 120+ attendees (2025) from a handful of countries, and lists 15+ speakers (2026).
It is run by the agency Keywordberry and built to bridge the Korean search ecosystem with global SEO practice, so alongside international speakers it covers Naver, Kakao and Coupang optimisation specific to the Korean market. Sessions run mainly in English with live Korean interpretation, and the program wraps a networking party and a city and cuisine tour around the main conference days.
The 2026 lineup featured Google's Gary Illyes, Aleyda Solis and Ahrefs' SQ Ong. Pricing is not published. A young but growing option for anyone working the Korean market.
Middle East
54.Visi Summit
An SEO and GEO conference in Dubai, heading into its second edition. The 2026 edition ran February 4-5 at Dubai Knowledge Park and featured 12 speakers (2026), with a lineup that pulled in well-known search names including Aleyda Solis, Michael King, Bastian Grimm, Cindy Krum, Dan Petrovic and Jes Scholz.
Its angle is visibility across the whole modern stack - classic search, AI answers and generative engine optimization, plus video platforms and UGC surfaces like Reddit. The next edition is expected around January or February 2027 in Dubai, with the date to be announced.
Pricing is $349–$499 for VIP; attendance is not published. It draws a practitioner and brand-side crowd working across search and AI. Confirmed for 2027.
55.
SEO On Stage
A traveling, theatrical SEO conference series with a Dubai stop. The Dubai edition runs March 23-25, 2027, part of a traveling series that also visits Athens and Prague. Its hook is the format: it stages talks like a theater production, with rehearsed sessions, live music, intermissions and an after-show rather than a standard conference agenda.
The series is young - its first edition was the Athens stop in October 2026 - so it is still establishing itself. Pricing, attendance and speaker figures are all not published. It is purely SEO-focused. Confirmed for 2027.
56.
Web Summit Qatar
A very large broad-tech conference with weak SEO fit. Held January 31-February 3, 2027 in Doha, this is a regional spin-off of the global Web Summit brand. Its 3rd edition, in early 2026, drew 30,274 attendees and 427 speakers (2026 figures), pulling founders, investors and government backers from more than 120 countries.
The agenda runs broad across AI, fintech, gaming, climate and the creator economy, so it is a technology and startup event rather than a search conference, and SEO relevance is limited. Pricing is not published. It is included here for scale, not search depth. Confirmed for 2027.
Latin America
57.
RD Summit
A large broad marketing conference with a strong SEO track, returning in 2027. RD Summit is billed as the largest marketing and sales event in Latin America, run by RD Station (now a TOTVS business unit). Its 11th edition ran November 5-7, 2025 at Expo Center Norte in São Paulo and drew 20,000+ attendees and 300+ speakers (2025 figures).
The event grew from its Florianópolis roots into a São Paulo mega-event, moving to the city in 2023. It paused in 2026 to retool and is returning in 2027 (returning, undated).
SEO sits as a strong strand within a broad marketing and sales agenda spread across many content tracks. Pricing is not published. A major fixture for the Brazilian market.
58.
Fórum E-Commerce Brasil
A huge Brazilian e-commerce conference that includes SEO. This is Brazil's flagship e-commerce congress, run by E-Commerce Brasil. Its 17th edition drew 21,000 attendees and 300 speakers (2026 figures) at the Distrito Anhembi in São Paulo, alongside a large exhibitor floor. Content is organized into tracks such as Marketing and Sales, Operations, Technology and Innovation, and Marketplaces, with recent themes including agentic commerce, marketplace profitability and D2C.
E-commerce is the core, with SEO and organic acquisition as a relevant strand rather than the main event. A 2027 edition is expected (date estimated) in São Paulo. Pricing is not published. Included for its scale and commerce-SEO overlap.
59.
SEOcamp (by Eleven)
The region's only dedicated SEO conference of any real scale. SEOcamp, run by the Argentine agency Eleven, is effectively Latin America's anchor SEO event. Its 2026 edition took place March 12 in Buenos Aires and drew around 930 total attendees (2026) - roughly 230 in person, with the rest joining a sold-out livestream - and featured 5 speakers (2026), including US consultant Lily Ray.
It runs as a single day of talks and workshops with both in-person and virtual tickets, and is notably affordable at $7–$20 in 2026.
A 2027 edition is expected around March (date estimated) in Buenos Aires. It is purely SEO-focused. One caveat: edition counts are contradictory across sources, with different outlets calling recent editions both the 4th and the 7th.
Africa
60.
Search Africon
The only dedicated SEO conference in Africa. Search Africon was founded in 2024 by Nigerian SEO consultant Ebere Cecilia Jonathan and is effectively the only dedicated SEO conference on the continent.
It runs across Lagos and Nairobi, with the third edition held in Lagos in May 2026 and a Kenya stop following later in the year; it featured 13 speakers (2026). Attendance is not published. It is community-driven and aimed at African SEOs, digital marketers and business owners, and past editions have drawn support from names like Google, Semrush and Women in Tech SEO.
Tickets were very affordable at $15–$55 in 2026. A 2027 edition is expected (date estimated). If you want dedicated SEO content in Africa, this is effectively the only option.
Global
61.
Google Search Central Live
Google's own free, roving, purest-SEO event series. Run by the Google Search team, this is a roving series of free events that bring official search guidance straight from the source, which makes it about as close to pure SEO as conferences get.
It has existed since 2019, when it grew out of the former Webmaster Conference, and now runs across 20+ cities and 15+ countries. No 2027 schedule has been published yet, but the 2026 run spanned cities including Sydney, Milan, Paris, Bengaluru and Mexico City, plus multi-day Deep Dive editions in Europe.
It is free, though seats are limited and often assigned by application rather than first-come, first-served. Attendance and speaker figures are not published. The single best free source of official SEO guidance if a stop lands near you.
62.
DigiMarCon (global series)
A broad, templated digital marketing series that runs in nearly every region. DigiMarCon is a templated, multi-city digital marketing series that runs near-identical events in almost every region rather than one flagship. It has operated since around 2015 across 33+ cities and more than a dozen countries, with multiple 2027 city dates already confirmed.
Its headline figures - 35,000+ attendees and 1,000+ speakers - are cumulative global-series aggregates across all events, never a single edition, so read them as a scale signal, not an edition size.
Every event can be attended in person or online, and typical pricing runs USD $347–$1,397. SEO is one track within a broad marketing, media and advertising agenda. It is useful mainly for the convenience of a local stop rather than for search depth.
How much do SEO conferences cost?
The spread is enormous, and the directory table above shows the latest price on every row. Broadly:
- Free: Google's own Search Central Live events and Search Engine Journal's virtual SEJ Live. These are application or RSVP based.
- Budget (under $100 / €100): several regional and virtual events, and single-day BrightonSEO tickets (free).
- Typical dedicated SEO conference: roughly $300 to $1,500 (or the local equivalent) for a one to two-day pass, cheaper on early-bird.
- Premium search festivals: SMX Munich and OMR run into four figures for their top tiers.
- The outlier: SEOktoberfest in the Austrian Alps is invite-only and runs €5,500 to €8,500, because the price includes several nights' accommodation. It is 30 people, not a mass event.
Which SEO conferences shut down?
Worth knowing so you do not chase a dead link. Four notable events are gone or paused: SearchLove (Distilled's conference, last held in 2023), TechSEO Boost (ended 2019, its spirit continued by the new Tech SEO Connect), MozCon's Seattle flagship (ended in 2024; only a smaller New York and London roadshow continues), and MnSearch Summit (on hiatus since 2024). A few long-dormant European events (Learn Inbound, The Inbounder, We Love SEO) also no longer run.
Why conferences still matter for SEO and link building
For a search professional, the value of a conference is rarely the slides. It is the two things that do not scale online. The first is staying genuinely current: the 2027 talks are dominated by AI search, generative engine optimization, and the shift toward brand mentions and citations over raw backlinks, and hearing practitioners argue about it in a hallway beats reading ten recap posts. It is also where you first hear how the latest Google core update actually landed for real sites, and where the people building AI visibility tools show what they are seeing across ChatGPT and Perplexity. The second is relationships. The editors, publishers, and site owners you meet at a search conference are exactly the people behind real editorial link building for SaaS and digital PR. Links get built on relationships, and relationships get built in rooms. Treat what you learn there as one input into a broader SaaS SEO strategy, not a replacement for the work between events. If you would rather skip the outreach legwork entirely, that is what our SaaS link building service is for, but the conferences are still where the industry actually talks to itself.
Frequently asked questions
How many SEO conferences are there in 2027?
Around 100 SEO, search, and SEO-track marketing conferences run worldwide. As of September 2026, 39 have confirmed 2027 dates; the rest are recurring annuals whose 2027 editions are expected but not yet announced. The directory table on this page marks each event's status.
What is the biggest SEO conference in the world?
By attendance, the biggest search-adjacent event is OMR Festival in Hamburg (70,000+), but it is a broad marketing festival with an SEO track. The largest genuinely SEO-first conference is BrightonSEO, with 4,500+ attendees at its UK edition.
Which SEO conferences have confirmed dates for 2027?
Confirmed editions include BrightonSEO (UK and San Diego), SMX Munich (Apr 6 to 7), OMR Hamburg (May 3 to 5), Friends of Search Amsterdam (Mar 11), WTSFest London (Mar 19), Web Summit Qatar (Jan 31 to Feb 3), Ahrefs Evolve Singapore (Apr 14 to 15), and about 30 others. See the directory table above, or the confirmed events in the guide below, for the full list.
How much does it cost to attend an SEO conference?
It ranges from free (Google Search Central Live, SEJ Live) to €5,500 or more (the invite-only SEOktoberfest, which includes accommodation). A typical one to two-day dedicated SEO conference runs roughly $300 to $1,500, cheaper on early-bird pricing.
Are the attendee and speaker numbers on this page for 2027?
No. No conference has published 2027 attendee or speaker counts yet, so every figure shown is the most recent edition's number with its year labelled. Where an organiser has never released a figure, it is marked "not published" rather than estimated.
Are SEO conferences worth it?
Yes, if you go for the two things that do not scale online: staying current on fast-moving topics like AI search, and meeting the editors and site owners who make real link building and digital PR happen. The slides are usually recapped for free later, so judge an event by its hallway and its speaker list, not just its ticket price.
What is the best dedicated SEO conference to attend?
There is no single best, it depends on your region and focus. BrightonSEO is the broadest and largest SEO-first event; SEO Week and Tech SEO Connect lead on AI-search and technical SEO in the US; SMX Munich and Friends of Search are Europe's establishment search conferences; and the GEO Conference is built entirely around AI-search optimization. If you would rather attend one of the biggest digital marketing conferences with a strong SEO track than a dedicated SEO event, look at OMR Festival, Web Summit, and DigiMarCon.
